At Chuphin, we are committed to protecting the privacy of our hosts and their guests. This Privacy Policy details how we handle the photos, names, and event details you upload when using our digital disposable camera services.
1. Information We Collect
- Host Accounts: When creating an event, we collect the host's email, name, and billing details to process transaction credit card information securely via our mock gateway.
- Guest Input: We collect only the guest’s first name (to label their captured photos in the host dashboard) and the photos they capture. No email address, account registration, or passwords are required for guests.
- Image Captures: Photos captured via the browser camera interface are uploaded directly and pooled in the host’s private gallery.
2. How We Store and Retain Photos
All captured event photos are stored on secure cloud databases for exactly 90 days from the event's start date. During this 90-day retention window, hosts can review, moderate, delete, and download their photos. Once the 90 days have expired, photos are permanently deleted from our servers and cannot be recovered.
3. Host Moderation Rights
Hosts hold absolute control over the content in their event database. Hosts can delete any photo captured during their event from the live dashboard. Deleted photos are removed immediately from the gallery feed.
4. Sharing and Third-Party Links
By default, all event galleries are completely private. Only the host can view the photos. If the host chooses to share a read-only gallery link with guests, that link will grant public access to view those event photos. We do not sell, rent, or share personal information or photo content with third-party marketing companies.
5. Cookies and Analytics
We use PostHog analytics tracking to monitor website performance and improve user experience. PostHog collects anonymized browser metadata. We do not track guests beyond their interaction inside the browser camera view.
